Roswell, Donuts and UFO’s, oh my!

After departing Lincoln, we were going to be passing through Roswell, If you haven’t been you kind of have to go, at least once. But first, breakfast. And when in Roswell we can heartily recommend a stop at Roswell Donuts.

Any place that has kolaches? Count me in. Cream donuts filled to order? You have to be kidding me! How about a breakfast croissant? If they don’t have the one you want they will make it up for you on the spot. My new favorite donut spot. Luckily it is several thousand miles from home or I’d be looking like I was packing a UFO around on my waist.

Speaking of UFO’s, yeah Roswell is the epicenter, we just had to go.

Roswell is home to the International UFO Museum and Research Center, detailing all the information behind the ‘1947 Roswell Incident’. I’m still not sure I’m a believer, but at least now I know.

I was caught off guard by the extent of the research library. It is full of rooms and rooms of books, papers, videos and other files any budding ufologist would need to research any event, story, disturbance, government coverup, odd radio frequency anomaly… well you get the picture. The picture above is but a mere fraction of the library.

Yes, it’s all here. Everything you need to be a belivever.

Yes, we had to stop. But one stop was enough.
